WhitFest Showcase Showcasing Arts – Celebrating Whitley

WhitFest is changing: Aspire 2 and Whitley Excellence Cluster are delighted to launch WhitFest Showcase, a wonderful new initiative to showcase the arts and celebrate our community in Whitley. 

The WhitFest Showcase finale event will take place at South Reading Community Hub on 1^st March 2019. It will be an entertaining evening of creative performances and art exhibitions, community togetherness and celebration – a platform to showcase and share Whitley arts.

In the lead up, there are workshops to develop skills, practice and perfect for those who wish to perform or exhibit at the showcase.

Word up Whitley
Join us for word inspired games and creative writing! Tell us your favourite memories of life in Whitley, the stories behind them, and help us build an actual Whitley word wood! @ Hexham Community Centre

‘Pop up Music’
A song writing workshop inspired by 1960’s Whitley Band ‘The Amboy Dukes’! Write a lyrical verse, set it to music and get a record a new Whitley hit!

Join us for bunting making and decorating – to raise (to the) roof at our finale WhitFest Showcase event! @ South Reading Community Hub
