University of Reading & Whitley CDA work together on government-funded study – hear Dr . Trisha Bennett discuss on BBC Berkshire

The University of Reading has worked with the Whitley Community Development Association (CDA) on the government-funded study.

The study involves the distribution of vouchers to 150 individuals from Whitley for a local greengrocer, while another 150 did not receive vouchers. Over the next 12 months, researchers will track changes in the participants’ health through regular monitoring every three months.

The voucher recipients, all from the Whitley community, will receive £10 every two weeks for a year. They have provided hair and urine samples at the start of the study and will continue to do so every three months, offering valuable insights into their health status.
