Whitley CDA discuss food poverty in Whitley on BBC South Today
BBC South Today visited Whitley Community Development Association’s project. We discussed our food project and how we are supporting many families and people who have fallen through the cracks of available support during the coronavirus pandemic.
We were able to emphasise the importance of a coordinated community-based approach and how local knowledge and a local connection is critical in order to build trust and ensure that the people who need support are able to receive it.
