Whitley CDA’s Impact Report for 2021 – 2022

July 2021 to August 2022 was a period of recovery following the impact of Covid 19 on society. During Covid 19’s peak, the food surplus project was a vital resource, providing essential support to those in need. and the aftermath continues to impact on many aspects of our daily lives.

Life changed for us all and this meant changes to the way in which we work by getting out in the community to increase awareness.. We found an increase in demand for the services we provide and has also meant that we have continued to work closely with our partners and those who enable us to deliver what is needed by local residents. In our community you are either a supporter or being supported, Many believing in the power of ‘Paying it forward ’. Whitley people do this a lot, looking for ways they can provide support for others when they have received this themselves. ‘Those with the least give the most, which we see on a daily basis within our community’. People give the support they can, be that financial, time, support or skills, we value them all.
