Coronavirus: Information from Whitley Community Development Association. 11.3.2020

The Café and Social Club continue to remain open. We are not currently aware of any infection connected to the Café and Social Club but will continue to monitor this as the wellbeing of our customers, members and staff is our first priority. We are working closely with Reading Borough Council on the latest action required.

We will immediately in-post information on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages should the situation change.

Please follow the advice below from Public Health England

As the situation is changing quickly, the most up to date information can be found at Public Health England every day until further notice. This information includes updates to travel and self-isolation advice.

If you want information about the signs, symptoms and treatment of the coronavirus please see the NHS: website www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19

There are no additional infection control precautions that need to be adopted at this time. However, we would recommend people practice good hand and respiratory hygiene to reduce the spread of general germs. Following the simple “Catch it, Bin it, Kill it” advice is very effective:

  • Catch coughs and sneezes in a tissue
  • Bin used tissues promptly
  • Wash hands afterwards
